Antioch Community Fun Fest

The Antioch Community Fun Fest is a free family event to bring together the Antioch community and support local refugees.

Location: 5380 Hickory Hollow Parkway, Antioch, TN

  • Live entertainment
  • FREE Food (beef hot dog, chips and a drink)
  • Raffle prizes every hour!
  • Games : (Ping Pong Toss, Bowling, Frog Toss, Carnival Can Toss, Corn Hole)
  • Fire truck: 11:30-12noon (kids can go through the truck, pretend drive, take pictures with the fireman)
  • Petting Zoo
  • Inflatable Bouncy House
  • Crafts
  • Face Painting
  • Ice-cream truck

All though admission is free, donations are welcome. All proceeds go to World Relief, an organization that helps resettle refugees. Those donating will automatically get to be part of the raffle with prizes every hour.

This event is sponsored by a new church in Antioch called The Church at Antioch. This is a church plant from my home church. If you live or work in the Antioch area, I’d encourage to check it out.

Murfreesboro’s Movie Under the Stars Features Hugo

Murfreesboro’s Movie Under the Stars has returned this summer with plenty of flicks to entertain your family. You have 5 times each week to catch the movie at one of the 5 locations. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, or truck bed. Refreshments will be available for purchase.


This week’s movie is Hugo (rated PG).

Mondays: Cason Lane Trailhead

Tuesdays: Cannonsburgh Village, in front of Welcome Center

Thursdays: Siegel Neighborhood Park

Fridays: Mitchell Neilson Primary

Saturdays: Hobgood Elementary School

Perry County’s Music on Main Street Features Gary Talley

Perry County’s Music on Main Street is offering free Saturday concerts all summer long. This free music event alternates between Lobelville and Linden.
